Five FC Barcelona players have been selected for the European Under-21 Football Championship that will be held in Israel this summer. The tournament will start on the fifth of June, while the final takes place on the eighteenth.
The five Barça players that have been selected by coach Julen Lopetegui are Martín Montoya, Marc Bartra, Marc Muniesa, Thiago Alcántara, and Cristian Tello. This leaves out the likes of Gerard Deulofeu, Sergi Roberto, Carles Planas and the injured Álex Grimaldo, who all had been selected for the U-21 team in recent matches.
