Andrés Iniesta and Neymar are two of the six candidates for the ‘Balón de Oro’ of the Confederation Cup, the trophy in which the FIFA determines who is the best player of the tournament that will conclude this Sunday in the Macarená with the final between Spain and Brazil.
Sergio Ramos, the player of the ‘seleçao’ Paulinho, the Italian crack Andrea Pirlo, and the Uruguayan International Luis Suárez complete the list that was made this Saturday by the very own FIFA.
Barcelona is the most aspiring club providing two players, with one from Real Madrid, Juventus, Liverpool, and Corinthians.
There will also be a be ‘Balón de Plata’ and a ‘Balón de Bronce.’ (Silver Ball and Bronze ball.)
Note that all the nominees belong to the four selected semifinalists and that the name of the winner will be told after the final, scheduled 00:00 Spanish time. (Telecinco.)
Additionally, there will be a Silver Ball and a Bronze Ball that will be given to the players classified in second and third place by the journalists accredited for covering the tournament.
Iniesta is already proclaimed ‘MVP’ of Europe in Poland and Ukraine in 2012.
